What size of wedding dresses do you stock? We stock a range of sizes usually from a size 8 to a size 24. Always phone to check current stock levels. Wedding dresses do not usually have lycra or stretch in them so allow a size bigger than you would normally wear. Your consultant will point you in the right direction.
What types of wedding dresses do you stock? We have some dresses that are brand new (cancelled orders from bridal shops/discontinued styles/overstock) and others which were previously samples in bridal boutiques. The condition for each wedding dress is as listed in their description. Please be aware that sample dresses are not new therefore they may have some minor imperfections eg. missing or loose beading, pulls in the fabric, etc. This is reflected in the dress price.

New – bought brand new but unworn, often with tags still attached or Sample(XS)– an ex-sample gown from a bridal boutique
Do I need an appointment to come and try the wedding dresses on? Yes, we are by appointment only so please ring or email Thistlekiss to arrange a time.
Can I bring friends and family with me to my appointment? Due to space we are able to accommodate yourself and two other people only.
Can I wear make-up to my appointment? Please do not wear fake tan when coming to try on the wedding dresses- so we can keep them in the best possible condition. You do buy the dress you try!
How can I pay for my wedding dress? We accept payment by credit card, debit card or cash. Dresses must be paid in full and taken away at time of purchase.
If I buy an ex-sample wedding dress will it need cleaning? No, all samples are checked before they go on sale and many will have been dry cleaned by specialist cleaners. This is why we encourage no fake tan!
Do you do alterations? We do not offer an alteration service but can supply details of some dressmakers should that be required.
Do you accept returns? All gowns are sold as seen and we advise that you check the gown over fully before making your purchase. Any imperfections that we are aware of will be pointed out to you at your appointment. As a result we cannot accept returns and we do not provide refunds if you change your mind. This does not affect your statutory rights.
